About

I love the phrase “Made in Minn Like Me” because growing up in rural Minnesota we thought, someday, everyone will want to live here! My four siblings & I spent our childhood on our family hobby farm in Burschville (technically Corcoran). My parents were both industrious & successful within real-estate related industries. My father dug residential basements for his company, Lange’s Excavation. Visits to his job sites were a bit underwhelming compared to stopping by mom’s work & the slightly prettier things at the Dayton’s Home Store. Along with the pretty, my nerdy side very much relished the maps, curbing surveys, utility easement overlays etc. as my mother & step-father prepared multiple residential lot developments on the raw investment land they owned in Eden Prairie and in Bend, OR. In 1996, I received my B.A. in Communication with a minor in Spanish from the Univ of Northern Colorado. My coursework in Antigua, Guatemala helped me to become bilingual, a great asset professionally & in my travels. I taught Spanish at Jackson Elementary and then English at John Evans Jr. High & Greeley Central. My utopia favorite teaching experience was as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching rhetoric at North Central University in Minneapolis. I think being on campus with young, eager minds is exhilarating. My professional career took an administrative turn as I took a position with the Univ of MN Gophers Women’s Basketball Team. Again I was surrounded by focused, bright, talented young people—amazing! Most recently I worked remotely as a consultant & writer with companies who are developing their current business operations into franchise offerings. Negotiations, document preparation, visual and written marketing creation all with executive-level customer service were needed in this fast-paced industry. Cory, my husband, has been the owner operator of Floor to Ceiling Handyman since 2006. His expertise has been quite valuable in helping many of our mutual clients to reach the ‘finish line’. Our parents modeled a great work ethic and generosity. Because of this, we believe in giving back whenever we can. We volunteer regularly at Feed My Starving Children, our home church, our boys’ charter school, and at a number of community functions in our area. Cory, myself and our two sons reside in Ramsey. We also actively promote other companies that are based here in our great state. We know the power of paying it forward to others who are “Made in Minn Like Me”.   “It’s rare to find someone who strives for perfection and won’t settle for anything less than excellence. If you are buying, selling or investing in real estate you have met that someone in Bridget Kirkpatrick.” ~client J. P. feedback
